Since the title of our blog is watch our garden grow, I guess you could say we are blooming. When we began to tell people that we were adopting, the one thing we heard most often is "as soon as you adopt, you're going to get pregnant." To be honest, after having had 2 miscarriages, that was the LAST thing I wanted. Well, I guess you all can say, "I told you so!" because we are exactly that, 12 weeks pregnant! Holy Cow! We are still in shock, excited beyond belief, and a little scared. I had my 12 week appointment today and we heard the heartbeat, which was such a relief. We don't understand the timing of it all but are grateful to God for the blessing of all our children, and His timing is perfect.
So as we celebrate this time in our life, please also be in prayer for us. Once you have had a pregnancy loss, that is ALWAYS in your mind. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby, and peace of mind as we look for a bigger vehicle and a bigger house and prepare to be a family of 5!

Wow Melodie!! That is SO EXCITING!!! Too cool!!! Added stress could have definitely contributed to the other losses before. Did you know that Mark and I have lost 4? Two before Sophie and two after Sophie. So...I totally understand where you are!! This is going to be wonderful and an amazing pregnancy!! :) You will do just fine...and so will the baby!
